S1 Episode 5 – Gina Renee Hall: Virginia’s First “No Body” Murder Trial
On June 28th, 1980, 18-year-old Gina Renee Hall went on a night out and was never seen again. The last person to see her alive was Stephen Epperly, a 28-year-old former football player from Virginia Tech. Evidence of foul play emerged in the days following her disappearance, but no body was ever found. In an unprecedented move, Commonwealth Attorney Everett Shockley charged Epperly with first-degree murder.

This week, Brittany takes the lead in covering the unsolved murder of Dorothy Jane Scott. In 1980, Dorothy Scott went missing while waiting for a friend at the hospital. No traces of her disappearance were ever found until four years later, when her skeletal remains were found buried at a construction site.
