S1 Episode 15 – 40 Days of Hell: The Torturous Murder of Junko Furuta
Listen to full episode :
In November of 1988, 17-year-old Junko Furuta was riding home from work when she was knocked off her bike. A classmate from school offered to walk her back, but she would never make it there. Little did she know this classmate hadn't been there by coincidence and planned to teach her a lesson for rejecting his advances. Considered one of the most infamous cases of juvenile delinquency in post-war Japan, the abduction, torture, and murder of the young girl shook many to their core, especially because everyone involved was under the age of 18. Join us this week as Briana walks us through the gruesome case and the aftermath.
