That is the question author and illustrator ⁠Lisa Perrin⁠ set out to answer, and you might be surprised by what she discovered. Released in September of this year, The League of Lady Poisoners delves into stories of women from all over the globe, some you know and some you don't, but the common thread between them being their means -- and sometimes, even their motives.

On April 28th, 1908, news of the Gunness home having gone up in flames spread quickly through LaPorte, Indiana. Some recalled the dire cries of warning coming from the farm’s owner, Belle Gunness, that her farmhand had threatened to burn the home down with her and her children inside, and it seemed like he had finally acted on it. Four bodies were found in the wreckage of the home, but upon closer inspection, a more macabre picture started to take shape.

In October of 2009, 20-year-old Morgan Harrington disappeared after attending a Metallica concert in Charlottesville. Fast forward to September 2014 and the story repeats itself with 18-year-old Hannah Graham who went missing after leaving a party. It wasn’t long before security footage revealed these two young women had something in common: the last person who saw them alive.

In the mid 1990’s, Thomas Quick swiftly became Sweden’s most notorious serial killer, confessing to the murders of over 30 people. Police investigated and he was convicted on 8 counts of murder, sentenced to live out his days in the mental hospital he had been a patient at on and off for many years. There was just one small catch… Thomas Quick never actually killed anyone.

Aileen Wuornos is someone with whom most people are familiar. Various forms of media have taken her life story and used it for entertainment, but how much of it is fact and what is fiction?

Once known as the "Meanest Man in America," the 5'5" man was nothing but trouble for the state of South Carolina from a young age. With over fifteen confirmed victims and over a 100 he claimed to have killed, we learn that nothing was off limits for this man.

Today, Brittany takes the lead as we talk about the Superbike Motorsports Murders. It was the first quadruple homicide in the small town of Chesnee, SC. Joining us is Melissa Brackman, formerly known as Melissa Ponder (the wife of Scott Ponder, owner of Superbike). She talks to us about the case and her accounts from the moment she found out about the incident to working with Spartanburg Police Department.
